Objects Between Structure and Story

Working at the intersection of art and design, Maika Palazuelos creates objects that exist in a state of quiet tension — structured yet fluid, industrial yet intimate. Through her studio Panorammma, she reconsiders the emotional capacity of furniture, transforming utilitarian forms into contemplative presences. Her work resists spectacle in favor of nuance, inviting a slower engagement with material, weight, and touch.

Rooted in artistic inquiry and shaped by disciplined craftsmanship, Palazuelos’s practice proposes design not merely as function, but as narrative architecture for everyday life.

Eoli Credenza

Carved from solid onyx, its softly undulating form is shaped around the tension between weight and flow. The natural translucency of the stone brings another layer to the piece, allowing light to move through its surface and reveal the depth, veining, and irregularities unique to each block.

Each piece carries a different composition of colour and veining—an imprint of the stone from which it was made.
