Z TABLE

Caroline Kable 2.100 EUR

Pavilion in form, the Z table, in solid walnut is, in our opinion, the ideal counterpart. Continuing with the artistry of Caroline Karoline, there is a poem etched into the wood.

Caroline Kable, Sculptural Furniture that Transcends Utility, Integrating Text-based Work onto Functional Objects

American artist based in New York City. Her recent work surrounds the narrative of her traumatic brain injury in 2022. Over the course of her recovery she began writing. The process of writing prose and poetry has become complimentary to her love of making as words are engraved, etched, burnt or hammered into each piece. With a background in metal fabrication and inspired by a childhood spent in rural Maryland, her work intuitively combines varieties of stone, metal, wood and text. The inclusion of text ingrains a moment of time into the surfaces of her work, and invites the viewer into the artist's story, commemorating experiences during a long journey of pain, beauty and hope.
