The Maker

Estudio Persona

Los Angeles, United States

South American Creatives, Planting Seeds in the Los Angeles Sun

Founded by Emiliana Gonzalez and Jessie Young, Estudio Persona is a Los Angeles–based design studio known for its sculptural restraint and quiet sensuality. Rooted in the designers’ Uruguayan heritage, their work explores natural materials, organic forms, and the beauty of contrast — soft and hard, light and shadow, feminine and austere. Each piece embodies a language of minimalism imbued with emotion, reflecting an intuitive balance between art, design, and the human experience.

Barstools can be quite uncomfortable at times, requiring constant shifting to and fro. The UNA counter stool is an unassuming option. With its cylindrical leather upholstered back, it provides support where it would be needed most. Especially after a glass of wine...or two.
