Suiteki

Shinichiro Ogata 380 EUR

Inspired by the gentle movement of a rising water drop, the SUITEKI sauce pourer is shaped to echo the quiet rhythm of liquid in motion. Crafted in copper by skilled metalworkers in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture—an area renowned for its metalworking tradition—the piece balances softness of form with precision of craft.

The surface is treated to resist rapid discoloration, allowing the copper to age gradually and beautifully over time rather than developing heavy rust. The interior is finished with a lacquer coating, making the piece suitable for practical use. Originally conceived as a water dropper for ink painting, SUITEKI can also be used as a sauce pourer or a small flower vessel. Functional yet poetic, it is an object that reveals its character through time, touch, and everyday rituals.
