Un'common

Łódź, Poland

Raw and Minimal. Shaped by Hand in Stone.

Un’common is a Łódź-based design studio founded by Gosia, an architect, and Maciek, an economist — partners in both life and work. For nearly a decade, they have been building a brand rooted in a deep respect for natural materials, especially stone. What began as an organic shift from large-scale architectural projects toward more personal, tactile creation gradually evolved into a fully devoted practice.

Working closely with local craftsmen and overseeing every stage of production, Un’common approaches design in a hands-on, intimate way. Their minimalist yet sensual furniture celebrates the raw honesty of stone — its texture, weight, porosity, and subtle imperfections. By reducing form to its essence, they allow material and detail to take center stage, creating objects meant not only to be seen, but to be touched and lived with.

“For us, working together is a privilege, not a burden. We trust each other completely and offer enormous support — without that, it would be difficult to build a brand from scratch and test everything on our own skin. We’re kicking towards the same goal; it can be stressful, but it’s the right path for us.”

Pera M Coffee Table €1,800

A compact cube in oak wood, topped with a thin slab of Breccia Brushed marble. The proportions are tight and deliberate — no visible frame, no extra detail. Just a solid wooden body and a dense stone surface placed directly on top.

The wood grain runs vertically and is clearly visible, giving the sides a natural rhythm. The marble top is smooth and slightly reflective, with a sharp edge that defines the outline of the piece.

It reads as a block. Stable, grounded, and simple. The height makes it work easily next to a sofa or chair. It doesn’t try to be light or sculptural — it’s more about weight and clarity.
