RITO Lectern

Peca Studio 0 EUR

Rito is inspired by the facistol (lectern), one of the most representative ecclesiastical pieces of furniture in 15th-century churches. Finely decorated, it was used to place books with scores for the different choir voices. Following the invention of the printing press and the subsequent reproduction of individual books, its use gradually declined. The combination of the solidity of stone and the lightness of wood, along with the interplay of its forms, imbues the piece with sculptural and architectural qualities. Rito merges the strength of the Pre-Hispanic legacy and the sacred within the intimate sphere of the home, thus creating a contemplative object that solemnly transforms the space.
