Our reverence towards the sumptuosness of volcanic rock has lead us to honor this noble material with a table/sculpture whose rich, porous top sits on top of three cilindrical monoliths born from the whims of Mexico’s volcanic terrain. Etched lines run through the surface of Petra’s top, guiding the eye towards the three soft and inviting polished discs that flow from the monoliths underneath, telling the story of their origin. Petra calls to the mysteries of nature and their sacred play in our day to day lives and pleasures.

Caterina Moretti, the Mexican designer behind Peca Studio in Guadalajara, creates sculptural furniture and objects rooted in craftsmanship, natural materials, and emotional connection. Through collaborations with local artisans, her work explores the dialogue between tradition and contemporary design, between what is made by hand and what is shaped by memory.
